ASIT Innovative Concept Design Training

How to differentiate and innovate when:

  • Competitors have the same marketing studies and also analyse the market.
  • A recent study showed that over 50% of respondents could not remember any product launched last year!
  • B2B purchasing decisions are becoming as complex as B2C, and innovation plays a crucial role.
  • Marketing has become viral and articulated not around advertising but around the unique experience offered to the user.

ASIT C (C for Conception) offers an innovative, methodological approach to meet companies' needs.

Questions & Answers about ASIT Conception

Q: "How is ASIT Conception different from traditional brainstorming?"
A: "ASIT Conception starts from the need for a differentiating product or service, not from a problem to solve. It systematically explores innovation pathways to create unique concepts that competitors haven't thought of. Unlike brainstorming, it's structured and guarantees comprehensive exploration of possibilities."

Q: "What is ASIT Conception used for?"
A: "ASIT Conception is ideal for designing new products or services, renewing a product range, creating disruptive concepts, and differentiating your offering in saturated markets. It helps you anticipate customer needs and pre-empt emerging markets rather than just responding to existing demand."

Training in the ASIT innovative design method

Training Objective

Learn the ASIT innovative design method and become operational: acquire creativity techniques and innovation methods compatible with the most modern marketing concepts and market requirements (end or internal customer, B2B or B2C). Learn to define essential innovative products (services, processes...) in your field.

Practical Training Aimed at Autonomy

The use of the ASIT method from the second day of training on real company cases reinforces learning and anchors new reflexes. By the end of the course, the trained group can organise their own creativity sessions!

Some Applications of the ASIT Innovative Design Method

  • Expand a current range innovatively, invent new products, processes or services
  • Create a successor to a flagship product or service that is running out of steam
  • Associate a service with a product for recurring revenues
  • Design a proprietary innovative offering to stand out from the competition
  • Imagine a potential future competing product or service, and protect against it
  • Anticipate needs, pre-empt an emerging market
  • Switch to "offer" mode to find new clients rather than being solely in "response" mode or single-client focused

Learning Objectives

Learn to design innovative, differentiating products (goods or services).

By the end of this training, you will be able to:

  • Understand the concept of creative blocks (fixation, cognitive biases).123
  • Understand how the ASIT Conception method bypasses these blocks.123
  • Identify a topic suitable for using the ASIT Conception method.123
  • Name the specific terms for the preparation phase and the method's tools.123
  • Prepare a creativity session with the ASIT Conception method.123
  • Use the ASIT Conception tools (role, operation, grammar).13
  • Use the ASIT Conception method to generate ideas (alone or with trained individuals) whilst respecting the rules and facilitation rhythm.13
  • Manage generated ideas: write them down, evaluate them, select them, present them.123
Assessment method: 1 - Assessed by the trainer during exercises and questions. 2 - Validated during the end-of-training quiz and its debrief. 3 - Self-assessed by available quiz.
The (self-)assessments and debriefs contribute to the acquisition and validation of skills.

Training Programme for the ASIT Creativity Method - Innovative Concept Design

Introduction

ASIT guides you in defining new creative services and products, for new markets or to renew your range, based on the observations that:

  • A creative modification (in the ASIT sense), sometimes minor, can change the user's experience and initiate viral marketing.
  • These modifications follow rules that must be understood and can be observed in the successful products and services of major brands and new entrants.
  • All products remembered from one year to the next (and therefore with chances of success) respect innovation laws that must be known and which correspond to ASIT tools.

Course Structure

Dialogue is quickly established through a series of test games that demonstrate to trainees the traps that normally prevent us from innovating.

A series of examples then shows the innovative design mechanisms of tomorrow's products, based on successful products and services and marketing gurus like Jack Trout, Seth Godin or Kim and Mauborgne.

Learning and then practising ASIT on educational cases continues the training, demonstrating the effectiveness of a systematic approach to product innovation (goods or services) in B2B and B2C.

On the second day, we use the ASIT creativity method on company challenges and introduce new skills: When to use ASIT? How to evaluate and present innovative ideas, for example.

ASIT creativity sessions integrate into your internal innovation process, structure it and systematise innovation.

Experiences During Training, Learning Outcomes

  • Understand the existence of innovation mechanisms and their place in the creative process.
  • Know how to foster creativity in those around you, for example by setting the right constraints.
  • Decode product innovations, analyse the creative mechanisms they contain.
  • View innovation from the angle of providing a new experience, innovative use (rather than technology).
  • Understand how a structured creative idea generation method works, see this in action on specific cases.
  • Understand the different structured ASIT tools for bypassing fixations, use them to observe their usefulness and fields of application.
  • Have identified and characterised creative product ideas.
  • Know how to use ASIT tools in your environment (not exclusively technological).
  • Have used ASIT on company challenges (differentiation, new product) and be able to use it subsequently.
